Heike S. Radeke

Heike received her Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York at Binghamton (with a concentration in Materials Chemistry) and her Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Organic Chemistry from Boston College. Her doctoral research focused on the total synthesis of a natural product and isolation of its cellular targets using various biochemical techniques.  Prior to becoming a Patent Agent, Heike worked for nearly 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry, first as a research scientist in the drug discovery division at Sepracor (now Sunovion) developing central nervous system (CNS) and anti-infective agents, and then as a senior scientist and group leader in the medical imaging division at Bristol-Myers Squibb (now Lantheus Medical Imaging) working on cardiovascular, oncology, and CNS imaging/contrast agents. Before joining Myers Bigel, Heike worked as a technology specialist and patent agent at two national law firms.  Heike is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  Her practice is concentrated in the areas of patent prosecution in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological arts.
