Mary Miller retired from the firm in late December 2021.

Mary Miller received her B.A. in Microbiology, with honors, from the University of South Florida and her Ph.D. in Microbiology (with a concentration in virology and molecular biology) from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mary conducted molecular virology research as a National Research Council Post-doctoral Fellow at the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, Maryland. She received her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law and has worked in the patent law field since 1993. Mary is a member of the Georgia State Bar and the North Carolina State Bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of patent prosecution and client counseling in the biotechnology arts. Before joining Myers Bigel, Mary practiced at an intellectual property law firm in Atlanta, Georgia.
