Myers Bigel is pleased to announce that five members of its talented legal team have been recognized by the 26th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America©.
“The fact that votes for Best Lawyers are made by our peers in the legal profession is extremely gratifying,” said Jim Cannon, Myers Bigel co-managing partner and one of the honorees.
Best Lawyers lists are compiled based on an exhaustive peer-review evaluation; for the 2019 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America, 7.8 million votes were analyzed. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, therefore inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
The Best Lawyers listing of award winners includes:
Litigation – Intellectual Property
Grant J. Scott
Litigation – Patent
David Beatty, Julie Richardson, and Grant Scott have all been nominated for their eighth time in Best Lawyers. Randy Ayers has been nominated for his ninth listing and Jim Cannon has been nominated for his twelfth listing.
The main focus of Ayers and Scott is in the Myers Bigel Electronics/Computer practice group, while Mechanical is the main practice area for Beatty, Cannon and Richardson.
The attorneys in the Mechanical practice have significant industrial experience, which enables them to understand and protect client technologies. The mechanical practice also is integrated with other practices, particularly in the fields of biomedical devices, electromechanical devices, fiber optics, manufacturing control and mechanical design of telecommunications devices.
The Myers Bigel Electronics/Computer practice group works with electronics, microelectronics, telecommunications, and Internet-related technologies for large corporate clients in addition to representing many smaller companies and start-ups.
Additional practice groups at Myers Bigel include Biotechnology, Chemical, Trademark and Litigation.
