Attorney Recruiting

We are always looking for highly qualified attorneys. Our new attorney recruiting program emphasizes attorney training. Candidates must have an excellent academic record in a scientific or technical field. Advanced scientific or technical degrees and/or industry experience are preferred. New associates can expect a seven-year partnership track, and a 1600 minimum billable hour requirement. After an initial training period, compensation is based on the attorney’s personal legal work plus a bonus for nonbillable firm contributions.
We also have an active summer associate program in which law students with scientific or technical degrees experience working full time at Myers Bigel and are paid competitively. Our summer associate program emphasizes hands-on experience with real projects and also provides summer associates the opportunity to interact socially with members of the firm. However, unlike many firms, we do not provide an artificial work or social environment for our summer associates. We have found that our summer associate program provides an ideal way for both us and the summer associate to make an informed decision on future employment at our firm.
