Litigation

We cannot publicly discuss much of our current litigation activity. However, recently published litigation decisions include the following:
Our Litigation practice emphasizes efficient handling of complex intellectual property disputes, using state-of-the-art litigation support systems. When litigating against other major law firms, we have found that our efficient staffing of litigation allows us to be more focused and nimble than our adversaries. We litigate when necessary and we aren't afraid to try cases. State-of-the-art electronic litigation support systems also allow us to leverage our skills.

Although our primary emphasis is in patent litigation, we also have experience in trademark, copyright, trade secret, unfair competition and antitrust litigation. We have both enforced intellectual property rights and defended against the enforcement of claimed intellectual property rights. Our litigation attorneys have experience in a wide range of technologies ranging from semiconductor devices to extended shelf-life food processing to waste management to automotive floor mats. Also, the Litigation department includes attorneys with electrical, mechanical, biology, biomedical sciences and chemical engineering degrees. Substantially all of the attorneys in the Litigation department are also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

In many cases, we fully staff our Litigation in-house, using our own litigation group. For larger litigations that require larger numbers of attorneys, we have partnered with larger law firms to leverage our patent litigation expertise.
