Many of our patents are foundations for start-up companies. Our Biotechnology group collaborates with our Chemical practice in our pharmaceutical practice. Ocean Tomo uses a computer model that measures the strength and quality of patents with objective criteria, and scores them with what it calls an "intellectual property quotient" (IPQ).
