D. Randal Ayers
Position
Randy Ayers received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, his Masters Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from George Mason University, and his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Virginia. At law school, Randy participated on Law Review, and he is a member of the Order of the Coif. Randy has extensive experience in all aspects of patent litigation, including Markman hearings, trial and appeal, and also has experience in all other forms of intellectual property litigation. Randy's practice also includes patent prosecution in electrical engineering technologies. Randy is a member of the North Carolina Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has been practicing patent law since 1994. Prior to his legal career, Randy worked for over five years as a satellite communication systems engineer. Randy was named to the "Legal Elite" from 2006 through 2009 by Business North Carolina magazine, based on a poll of North Carolina lawyers.Shareholder
