Lori W. Herman

Lori Herman received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry from Willamette University and her Doctorate in Chemistry from the University of California at Davis. Upon completion of her doctoral degree, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Lori's doctoral research was concentrated in the areas of physical organic and organometallic chemistry, specifically on solvent and pressure effects on rates and selectivities in homogeneous catalysis. Her post-doctoral research was concentrated in the area of polymer chemistry, specifically on the synthesis of minimally adhesive membrane and coating materials. Lori received her Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law, where she was a staff editor for the journal Law and Contemporary Problems. Lori is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her practice is focused on the preparation and prosecution of patents in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields.Associate
