Alice M. Bonnen
Position
Alice received her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and Master of Science degree from the University of Minnesota (Plant Physiology). She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Plant Pathology from Michigan State University. Her doctoral research focused on mechanisms of disease resistance in Curcurbitaceae. Prior to becoming an attorney, Alice taught and carried out a research program focused on the physiology and biochemistry of edible mushrooms at Pennsylvania State University. Alice received her Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University in 2004. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Alice is also a member of the Association of University Technology Managers. Her practice is focused on the preparation and prosecution of patents in the biotechnological fields. In addition, Alice prepares and prosecutes plant patent applications and applications for plant variety protection.Associate
